Didn't like anything, except cleanliness was adequate.

The room was spacious, but there was no hot water during my stay.

The room was a decent size, with clean bedding and towels, which was nice. But the carpet looked pretty worn and had some random bugs, which was gross. The bed was comfy enough, but the shower could use a serious scrub, too much mold around. And yeah, it's not 5-star or anything, but for the price, I guess you get what you pay for.

The staff was helpful in addressing our needs promptly.
The bathroom had significant mould issues that were quite off-putting.

proximity to local attractions, affordable pricing, basic room availability
bathrooms in need of deep cleaning and repairs!!! Room decor is dated and frankly, unsettling!!! Maintenance of the facilities seriously lacks attention!!! Basic essentials should always be provided without request!!!

we loved our stay at the himley. the rooms were cozy, with an excellent shower and comfy beds. we really enjoyed the nice range of beers and lagers at the bar. plus, it’s just a short walk to the dudley arms pub, which is great for a drink and food. also, the value was fantastic at £58 for a double room!

We had a decent stay with our five kids. The rooms were spacious and the garden provided a great space for the little ones to run around. The staff tried their best to accommodate us during breakfast, which had a good variety for the children.
My children wanted a better play area. An indoor games room would be great for families to keep the kids entertained.

missingWrote a review on Aug 08picturesque locationcomfortable bedsbat intrusionmoldy showerinadequate water pressure
The stay was marred by external distractions, including a bat that disrupted the evening, causing considerable distress for both myself and my partner. Added to this, the shower facilities were in dire need of maintenance, featuring mold and inadequate water pressure. Despite these issues, the location was quite picturesque, making it a shame that the property's upkeep does not match its potential.

The location is picturesque, surrounded by green areas. The staff, particularly Nicole and Gerry, were exceptionally friendly and made me feel welcome. I appreciated their attentiveness and willingness to help throughout my stay. The room had a charming old-world vibe, but the furnishings felt quite tired. Although the bathroom was clean, the towel had an orange stain, which raised concerns about overall cleanliness. The restaurant was busy, and I wasn’t informed about reservations, which led to a frustrating search for dinner elsewhere. WiFi was spotty during the visit, which could be improved.

This place was quite a letdown during my stay. The room had a very old mattress that was uncomfortable, and the bathroom left much to be desired with its lack of cleanliness. One positive was that the public areas were welcoming, and the location was convenient for my visit to nearby attractions. the overall condition of the room made the experience rather disappointing.

Perfect location and comfy stay
We had a lovely time at this place! The location was spot on for our event—no taxis needed, which was great. The bedding and towels were fresh, and we enjoyed beautiful views from our room. Car parking was easy peasy, and the bar area was nice too. Just wish the wifi was better—was kinda slow at times.

Good for the price
We stayed for a night in a superior double room. They had tea and coffee making stuff, but honestly could’ve used more milk. The bar area is nice, but the place needs a bit of upkeep. A quick clean wouldn't hurt, for real!
